Throughout the winter I have been dealing with severe dry skin; it was particularly effecting my hands. I wash my hands constantly throughout the day so that wasn’t helping me retain moisture.

About a month ago the skin on my right hand began to develop very itchy, dry and cracked skin. Nothing that I put on my hand would work. I used heavy creams, light lotions, products specifically targeted for extremely dry skin and none of it worked. My next step was to go to the doctor and get it looked at since I had been informed that it might be eczema.

While doing research on eczema and natural remedies, I came across a new product line by Neosporin, Eczema Essentials. neosporin eczema essentials review skinI decided to give that a try to see if it would help and save me a trip to the doctor. There are three products in the line, but I purchased the Daily Moisturizing Cream. It retails for around $12 for 6 fl. oz. The line is clinically shown to restore visibly healthier skin in just 3 days and is shown to be as effective as the leading prescription skin barrier emulsion in people with mild to moderate eczema with twice daily (or as needed) use.

The moisturizing cream claims to relieve dryness, irritation, and itch due to eczema. In 3 days I did notice softer skin; I actually noticed softer skin within a day of using it, but after washing my hands my skin was still very dry. By the third day I noticed the cracked skin beginning to heal and the dark marks begin to fade a little. After a week and a half of use I have noticed a major difference. My skin is as dry after wash, the cracked skin is almost completely healed with a very small scab and my skin is very soft.

I think it’s definitely worth giving a try if you are experiencing eczema or very dry skin issues. If you don’t want to shell out $12 for this bottle, there is a $3 coupon on their website. Depending on the severity of your issue, that will determine how quickly you’ll go through one bottle. I’ve only been using it on my hands and I still have a considerable amount left.
