For the past 3 weeks, almost a month, I have been trying out some hair care products from Beautiful Textures. After moving from the midwest, to the south, then back to the midwest; my hair hasn’t been adjusting well to the midwest’s spontaneous weather. Some products that were staples for me just wouldn’t work anymore. After hearing about Beautiful Textures I decided to pick up and try their Tangle Taming Moisturizing Shampoo, Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner and Moisture Butter Whipped Coil Cream. Check out the review below!
Tangle Taming Moisturizing Shampoo
What it says it does: helps to detangle, restore shine and body, improve manageability, and soften and stretch natural curl pattern.
How I used it: I don’t shampoo in sections. I just lathered the product from root to tip, focusing more on my scalp. I gently messaged my scalp while also gently semi detangling with my fingers. I washed twice.
Results: My hair felt clean and springy; I could definitely feel my hair’s very defined texture. It was easy to apply and coated the hair enough which helped with pre-detangling my hair before actually conditioning it. Overall, I liked how my hair didn’t feel striped, but was soft and manageable.
Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner
What it says it does: Restore Hair’s Natural Moisture Balance; Control Damage from Transitioning, Heat, and Color Treated Hair; Restore Elasticity to Prevent Breakage
How I used it: I split my hair into four sections focusing on one section at a time. I coated the section from root to tip then gently detangled with a wide tooth comb.I put the sections in twists and left the conditioner in anywhere from 25-60 mins.
Results: I love this stuff! It made detangling my hair a breeze. Right when I put the conditioner in and worked it into a section I could immediately feel loose hairs sliding off. The comb ran through fairly easy and quickly. I love how soft it left my hair after rinsing out and air drying prior to adding styling products.
Moisture Butter Whipped Coil Cream
What it says it does: Soften and Nourish Curls; Elongate Kinky Coils; Tame Frizzies
How I used it: I used it to set a bantu knot out, braidouts, puffs and for daily moisturizing.
Results: Amaze! I have not had a successful bantu knot out since my transitioning days. I got four day hair from one bantu knot out (pics below!) without retwisting! It kept my hair moisturized without feeling heavy and l use this stuff daily!
Overall I am very satisfied with the Beautiful Textures products I’ve tried so far. It’s affordable, smells great and has decent ingredients. My hair hasn’t felt “right” in a long time, but now it’s finally starting to act right!
