This review has been a long time coming. As I Am Coconut CoWash is a no suds conditioning cream that is great for frequent use, even daily. It’s lighter than it appears and it took me a few tries to learn that a little goes a long way.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love heavy conditioners. This is not a heavy conditioner. The first couple of uses I did not really have a reaction, I was kind of like,’oh okay, welp’. It wasn’t until I accidentally fell asleep with the conditioner in my hair that I was like, ‘oh, okay!’ The comb effortlessly slid through my hair and I was in and out of the shower in record time!
Because I fell asleep with the conditioner in my head, I had to blow dry my hair and it was surprisingly not as dry as it normally is after blow drying (which is why I usually don’t use my blow dryer). — sidenote, I realized that I only use my blow dryer maybe twice a year and it’s usually to do a semi blowout.
All in all for me personally, I love how it works in my hair after being left in for a few hours. My one main gripe is that it’s not easy getting the product out of the jar while showering. This has actually been my gripe with a lot of conditioners lately. I wash my hair while showering and it can be difficult scooping globs of conditioner out of a jar with water running down your face and arms into the jar. I actually knocked a jar of conditioner on the bathroom floor while trying to scoop out the condition while soaking wet. So this is sort of like a PSA to all haircare companies… please make your product easily accessible, especially if it’s a conditioner.
