Since it’s fall, and very close to winter, I have to switch up my haircare routine a little bit. A few months ago I started to experience a ton of split ends after using a hair brush/comb tool. There were splits, it seemed like, everywhere. This led to my search for a shampoo and conditioner duo that would help to possibly minimize the damage.
I picked up Softsheen Carson’s Optimaum Oil Therapy Ultimate Recovery shampoo and conditioner. After a month of use, I wanted to share my review of both products.
Ultimate Recovery Shampoo
Claims that it cleanses, instantly softens, and revitalizes dry damage prone hair. It rescues and smooths damaged hair shaft, removes all styling residue without stripping and restores intense moisturization from root to tip.
Each time I used this shampoo my hair did not feel completely striped of moisture. My hair felt clean and springy.
If you’re looking for a shampoo that won’t strip your hair, this is a great buy to use combined with the coordinating conditioner.
Ultimate Recovery Conditioner
Claims that it helps prevent breakage and guard against split ends. It rescues and helps prevent spit ends and break points, rejuvenates lifeless hair with strength, body and shine and replenishes essential oils and nourishes each hair strand.
This conditioner left my hair feeling soft after rinsing it out.It does not have super, slipper slip, but I was able to detangle my hair without tangling.
I would recommend this conditioner for use with the coordinating shampoo.
Overall, both products left my hair feeling clean, moisturized and soft. After a month of use I have noticed fewer split ends, but I do still get them along with single strand knots.I would recommend both products for use together to help with split ends and moisture, along with your regular hair maintenance.
