Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend two awesome events on the same night, both presented by African Pride!
I kicked off the night attending their Ultimate Beauty Social hosted by Ms. Vaughn and Rachel O. African Pride has been going from city to city with this tour bringing bloggers and editors together to have a transparent conversation on beauty.
Both Vaughn and Rachel were open as we discussed hair style choice in the workplace, writing your own rules when it comes to your hair, how women are no longer monolithic and how to celebrate individual beauty. We also learned a little more about three of African Pride’s products; Shea Butter Miracle Bouncy Curls Pudding, Olive Miracle Maximum Strengthening Moisturizer Lotion and Dream Kidz Olive Miracle Smooth Edges Anti-Frizzy Conditioning Gel. After mingling a little bit it was time for the main event!
Open to everyone, Mary Mary sat down for a candid discussion during “A Mother’s Love” moderated by Inspiration 1390’s Sonya Blakey. I have always been a Mary Mary fan, but this just made me appreciate and respect them even more!
Tina & Erica Campbell “Mary Mary”
A Mother’s Love
Tina and Erica were very open and honest about everything! They discussed growing up, how they were disciplined, how they discipline their children, “Hollywood Kids”, their reality show, balancing work with real life and so much more. I laughed and reflected on a lot of what they said and truly enjoyed hearing them in that kind of an intimate setting. All in all it was a fabulous night! Look forward to reviews on the hair lotion and the conditioning gel. To see my pics from the event check them out on Instagram!
