Fall TV kicks off this upcoming week (week of September 22) and I wanted to pause and give you the run down of what I’ll be watching, live tweeting and summarizing… all in that order! If you haven’t kept up with any of these shows then you need to stop reading, pull up Netflix and catch up. Lucky for you, majority of the shows are heading into their second or third season, so a week to take in all of the past episodes is totally doable.
So what exactly is this post going to tell you? I’m going to give you a brief synopsis on where the season ended, how I think the season will start and what I’m looking for from each show this season. You’ll also know the date and time the show will be on and if I’ll be live tweeting. I had a lot of fun live tweeting The Haves and Have Nots this summer and wanted to do it again this season, while also giving you a chance to join me! Get all of your fall TV deets below and let me know what you’ll be watching!

Revenge| ABC Sundays 9/8 cst
Revenge had a very strong season one, but I did find myself a little bored and slightly confused throughout season two. Season two put heavy focus on “The Initiative”. Who they are, I’m still trying to figure it out. All I took away from the previous season is that a lot of people died, Victoria is slowly becoming one of my faves, Daniel I’m still trying to figure out, Jack went all vigilante and Emily got too much into her feelings, per usual.
The season ended with a lot of questions unanswered. From the previews for season three I’m for certain Emily gets shot (I don’t think she dies, unless this is the final season…) and we’ll spend at least the first half of the season trying to figure out who done it and why. I would love to see Emily get her fight back and get back on the course of bringing the Graysons down. I would love for the writers to scrap “The Initiative” because quite frankly they make the episodes a bit draining. At least move majority of the focus from them and back to the task at hand, avenging her father’s death. I’m not here for the Daniel, Emily story and I feel like this plays a major role in how and why she gets shot in the first place. Either way, I’ll be front row and center come the season premiere.

Arrow| The CW Wednesdays 8/7 cst
Arrow was an accidental love. I had sworn off this show, but thanks to someone’s Instagram pic I decided to give it a try (thankfully I was only about 3 episodes behind). I love a good action show (and the eye candy doesn’t hurt either), and if you love action this is definitely an hour long adrenaline rush you’ll want to take. Oliver started the first season trying to avenge his father’s wrongs by killing or harming people from a long list of names, only to uncover that the issues run deeper and very much closer to home. After kicking a lot of people’s butts throughout the season, the finale was a tear jerker as he loses his best friend Tommy after the Undertaking leaves Starling City in devastation.
What I expect this season is for Oliver and company to be ready to kick even more ass. From the preview there seems to be some familiar faces and a whole lot of vigilante copy cats. I expect intense fight scenes and a totally new direction for what they plan to fight for. What I’d like to see is Penelope getting in on the action (because we need a female who can kick some butt) and for Thea’s boyfriend to join Oliver’s team. I’m super excited for this season, and if it’s anything like the first one then it’s going to be one amazing season!

Scandal| ABC Thursdays 10/9 cst
Oh Scandal how I love thee. I was hooked to this show from the beginning, meaning I watched the six episode first season and was not happy when I had to wait all summer for the second season to figure out what the heck was going on. The second season didn’t disappoint. This show made me realize that I’m a slight adrenaline junky, because the fast pace of this show is everything. If you leave for 10 seconds, you’re confused and might as well rewind and try to figure out what’s going on from the beginning.
After the back and forth with Olivia and Fitz, to the president’s attempted assassination, to the uneasiness of if the voting scandal would be exposed and then to the threat against Olivia’s life. We went through many ups and downs to finally feel a sense of calm and accomplishment by the last 60 seconds of last season’s finale… or so we thought. The season ended with Olivia and Fitz’s affair being exposed to all of America and wait a minute… did he just say he was her daddy?
This is definitely going to be an exciting third season. From previews we’re going to spend a great part of the season, maybe even the entire first half on trying to straighten out Olivia’s mess. We’re also going to see a lot of backstabbing. I’d like to see the show still incorporate other people’s crisis issues, although I can understand how that may be hard because Olivia’s reputation is now tarnished. It’s going to be a fast, bumpy, gut wrenching ride and I plan to be buckled tight in the passenger seat!

Mentionables
Glee| FOX Thursdays 9/8 cst
I am a die hard Gleek so I was devastated by the news of Cory Monteith’s death earlier this year. While I’m sure the third episode highlighting Finn Hudson will be a total tear jerker I’m excited to see how the cast moves forward with this big loss and how the series evolves as a whole. Returns September 26.
Nashville| ABC Wednesday 10/9 cst
The second half of the season was a little boring, but the explosive finale involving Rayna and Deacon’s car crash has me excited to see where the writer’s take the series during the second season. Returns September 25.
One Upon A Time| ABC Sundays 8/7 cst
I fell in love with this series at the first episode and I love how the writer’s bring old fairy tales to the 21st century. I love that everyone has to come together to save Henry and I can’t wait to see where the writer’s imagination go in season 3. Returns Sunday September 29.
Nikita| The CW Fridays 9/8 cst
I have been an avid Nikita supporter since the beginning, so I’m extremely sad that this is the final season. I look forward to seeing how the writer’s close out the show in this final six episode season and I’m hoping it lives up to all of my high expectations! Returns mid to late November.
Newly Noted
Once in Wonderland| ABC Thursdays 8/7 cst
More revamped fairy tales? Yes please! While I’m a little iffy on the story line, I’m excited to travel to another dimension of the fairytale world! Premieres Thursday October 10.
The Tomorrow People| The CW Wednesdays 9/8 cst
A show full of young time benders with paranormal abilities isn’t really something I’d consider watching, but the previews have me intrigued. I will definitely give it one or two episodes to pull me in since The CW cancelled all of my favorite shows. Premieres Wednesday October 9.
