SPOILER ALERT! (If you haven’t watched episode 2 stop reading)

The red X and infinity box are officially back! This episode Emily set her sights on a Father Paul, a priest who once worked for Grayson Global. Nolan is totally against this idea since he sees Paul as an innocent changed man in the scheme of things. He uses her father’s notebooks and words against her, which only makes Emily more angry. She lures Father Paul to an unidentified location where she whacks him over the head. She doesn’t do anything to him, as he reveals later in the episode; he only woke up to an empty room and a missing wallet.

Aiden approaches Victoria about teaming up to take Emily down, but of course she has her reservations since she doesn’t completely trust him. Aiden breaks into Emily’s house and gets the deed to Nolan’s home, which shows Victoria that they’re working together. Victoria makes an effort to introduce her son Patrick into the family during a family dinner; which was pretty intense. Emily, being Emily, slipped something in Conrad’s drink that made him have an almost seizure-like reaction during the dinner to keep up the story that Conrad has Huntington’s disease. She later approached Patrick at his hotel to try to turn him against Victoria, but she’s swiftly met with the door.

Margaux, a new addition this season, obviously has designs on Daniel and doesn’t shy away from making them apparent when they’re both alone in her office by dropping her dress. Daniel turns down her advances (which he reveals later in the episode) and still goes ahead with becoming a publisher for her magazine. I will say this now, I am not here for this Margaux character or her storyline. It would be golden if Emily just added her to her kill list and we’d be done with her. We’ll just have to wait and see how messy this storyline gets.

Jack tells Charlotte about how her father knew about the bomb that killed Declan and she confronts Conrad telling him she’s done with him and that he deserves to die. Not going to lie, I actually felt sorry for Conrad at that point. I mean, he’s been told that he has a life ending disease and he pretty much has no one to lean on for support.

After a very telling conversation with Father Paul, Emily sees that he’s not a bad person, but it’s too late to stop her plan of revenge. Paul is forced to leave his position as a priest due to incriminating sexual photos of him which Emily secretly turned in. Emily decides to fix the situation since she’s convinced Father Paul is the key to getting Conrad to confess everything.

That’s pretty much episode 2. I love that we’re focusing on Emily’s missions again.

What I’m not here for…

  • Aiden teaming up with Victoria, but it’ll make for a good storyline.
  • Charlotte and her constant mood swings. It’s revealed a lot of it has to do with her blaming herself for Declan’s death; but I’m hoping she eventually gets over it.
  • Jack and his foul attitude as well. We get it, Emily betrayed you and lied but you’ve had six months to reflect on it now move on and try to rebuild your relationship with her.
