SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
Last night’s episode was an episode of confessions indeed. We open with Aiden telling Victoria that he and Emily were still seeing each other even after Daniel proposed. Nolan is in the midst of planning a ginormous housewarming party, Conrad is wrestling with the weight of his past sins and Emily is forging full force ahead with her plan to get Conrad to confess his sins and prove her father’s innocence.
Emily reveals her true identity to Pastor Paul and says she will help clear his name so he can go back to working in his church if he helps convince Conrad to confess. Victoria tells Daniel about Nolan’s house being bought by Emily and that she was sleeping with Aiden while they were together. After Daniel pretty much calls her bluff Victoria invites Aiden to Nolan’s party. Daniel confronts Emily about the allegations and she says she indeed bought Nolan’s house but stopped messing with Aiden before they got together. Nolan accidentally invites Patrick to his party not knowing he was “Victoria’s Patrick” while he was trying to hit on him at the pool.
Paul tries to get Conrad to turn himself in over the David Clarke debacle by using the trusty old guilt trip. He shows him he’s currently lonely and he should feel even worse knowing that the man he killed is Charlotte’s birth father.
Margo tags along with Jack to the party where she tries to get Nolan to consider being the cover story for her magazine. Charlotte is still convinced Emily is “becoming a Grayson” and wants nothing to do with her, as does Jack. What we all were waiting for, Victoria and Aiden’s entry definitely didn’t end well. It was heated, tense and a tad bit uncomfortable. There was obvious tension between Emily, Aiden, Daniel and Victoria. It came to a head when Emily put them both in their place while also letting the entire party (all of Hamptons) know about the true status of the Grayson’s finances… that they’re indeed bankrupt.
Pastor Paul lets Emily know that he did what she wanted, but if Conrad didn’t confess he would. The news of the Graysons’ bankruptcy is the next day’s front page news and Aiden lets Victoria know that Emily doesn’t have their money and he doesn’t know where it is. Victoria forces him to stay because of the effect he has on Emily so they can both take her down once and for all (obviously she’s in her feelings after Emily pretty much put her business on blast).
Conrad tells Victoria that he’s confessing, along with Paul, and she’s not too happy about it. She scratches him in the face then throws a vase at him. She threatens that if they leave it’ll be the last ride they take.
The shocker of the night (at least I think it is) is when Emily is on the beach and Aiden appears and we find out that they’ve been working together all along so that Aiden could become close to Victoria. Apparently Emily asked him to come back because she really needed his help, although he did go outside the plan by telling Victoria about they’re romantic relationship and not telling Emily Daniel shot him.
The episode ends with a fiery scene involving Conrad, Paul and Conrad’s sports car. Not sure exactly how it all played out but Pastor Paul is obviously dead and Conrad is injured. The return of Aiden, combined with Daniel and Jack… it’s about to get even more crazy in the Hamptons and I can’t wait!
Some takeaways…
-They’re obviously trying to make Jack and Margo a potential thing… I’m not here for it and I still don’t trust her.
– Really loving Charlotte’s style this season but her attitude not so much.
– Patrick is giving the appearance that he may be into guys after his interactions with Nolan… time will tell but that would definitely be an interesting storyline.
– Patrick is not here for Emily and I want to know what Victoria told him. There is pure dislike every time they’re in the room together.
– What is Emily giving Conrad?? I think it’s going to badly harm him in the long run.
