Plaid is one of those things that never really seem to go away. Flannel shirts have been a staple since I can remember and since I’ve been alive I can remember one other time when plaid was a big “trend” and I took full advantage of it. I was in middle school and plaid was everywhere, literally. Of course I indulged and rocked a pair of straight leg red plaid pants that I got from Old Navy that entire school year. Mind you, this was a little bit before Old Navy was fashion and trend forward and focused more on comfort and convenience.
Needless to say, after that I felt some type of way about plaid (I hated it). I’ve owned plaid since then but I can literally count it on one hand… and I won’t need all of my fingers. Since plaid seems to be on the fashion forefront again this year, I wanted to share some of my plaid picks for the season with a warning. I think, when styled right, plaid adds a sophisticated and chic twist to any look. With that being said, you’ll see that my picks are practical and can be styled effortlessly with your current fall and winter wardrobe. These pieces will also translate into multiple seasons moving forward after the trend dies.
