SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)

Welcome back!! So we’re officially back with new episodes for the remainder of this season and it kicked out with a bang. It was intense throughout majority of the episode and it’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out. Let’s start from the beginning.

revenge homecoming emily vancamp josh bowman

We open up with a wounded Emily in the water trying to signal Aiden but her tracker is broken. She spots a boat and somehow manages to swim to it and climb on it. The tracker starts working again and Aiden finds Emily on the boat but decides not to take her due to her injuries. He makes a commotion that alerts the coast guard and she’s taken to the hospital.

Meanwhile, everyone who was on the boat is being questioned by the police. Grayson lies for Lydia and says she was with him, no one seems to notice that Daniel hadn’t been in the main cabin and Victoria is suspect number one; which is no surprise since this entire thing was set up to make her look guilty. Margo turns over copies of most of the pictures taken that day except for the ones that were taken right after Emily was shot.

Aiden tells Jack what has happened with Emily and Jack begins to blame himself for pushing Emily to finish her vendetta with the Graysons. Nolan is alerted about the situation and goes to the hospital to try to look after Emily. The Graysons have been notified about Emily and head to the hospital. Victoria is told that she’s barred from the hospital room pending the investigation and she takes this out on Nolan telling him he’s not family so he can’t see Emily. Nolan looks to Patrick for help and gets none, so Nolan kind of reveals that Patrick had been with him the night before and Victoria goes ballistic.

Emily awakes while Daniel (the shooter/husband) is in the room and reveals that she doesn’t know who he is, let alone, who she even is. Nolan hacks into the hospital files and they find out that Emily suffered cerebral injuries and has amnesia. Aiden believes she’s faking so he and Nolan devise a plan to get Emily out of the hospital. The plan is a bust because Emily awakens frightened because she doesn’t recognize Aiden and calls for help. Meanwhile, Patrick shows up at Nolan’s house, spots him securing the Infinity Box in his safe, and they have an argument about trusting each other and pretty much call it quits.

Jack goes to Margo to see if she knows what happened on the boat and she tells him about the pictures and they narrow down the people missing in the photos. Everyone starts to turn on each other and seem pretty much okay with Victoria taking the fall, everyone except Daniel. He goes and tells her he knows everything about Emily and that he’s the one who shot her and he plans to confess the next day. Victoria being Victoria decides to take matters into her own hands. She goes to Margo who tells her about the pictures and Victoria plans to frame Conrad so she goes and tells him of her plans and that he pretty much has to recant his statement about Lydia being with him during the time of the shooting because the pictures prove otherwise.

She also tells him that Daniel is the one who shot Emily and that they need to protect him. Conrad turns on Lydia and tells her that he has to recant his statement. Lydia gets scared and runs off making her the prime suspect of the investigation.

Charlotte seems to be the only Grayson concerned with Emily’s well being and tries to help her remember who she is by showing her pictures of the wedding and telling Emily how strong of a person she is. Emily says something about her father and Charlotte asks who he is and she says David Clarke. Charlotte tells Jack what happens but says she doesn’t believe her. Jack decides it’s time for him to pay Emily a visit.

He and Charlotte show up at Emily’s room right before an unidentified woman was about to inject something into Emily’s iv. She leaves and Jack talks with Emily telling her about how strong she is and how, while he cared about her, they had had a lot of ups and downs over the summer. He gives her Amanda’s necklace and tells her that it had belonged to his wife and that she had given it to Emily the night she died. He tells her that he just wants Emily Thorne to remember who she is. She closes her eyes and has a flashback to the night Amanda dies and then of the night she was shot. She calls out Daniel’s name and tells Jack that he was the one who shot her.

Some takeaways…

– I’m so happy that this amnesia storyline was confined to one episode. I need for Emily to know who she is so she can get herself out of this situation. Something happened towards the end when Patrick tells Victoria about the Infinity Box and she makes a connection with Emily’s tattoo. I’m not sure if she knows the connection with David Clarke, but from the previews she gets her hands on the box and something goes down between her and Emily.

– I’m still not here for Margo or Lydia or Patrick. I can do without them and I really wouldn’t miss them.

– The unidentified woman is connected to Aiden in some way. I don’t trust her. I honestly believe she was trying to kill Emily. Then she kissed Aiden when he confronted her in the parking garage. So there’s some history there and I want to know what it is.

– Daniel and Conrad had a huge blowout after the whole framing Lydia thing. Conrad pretty much told Daniel if he ever needs help again it won’t come from him. Daniel is still hung up on Sara and now I’m pretty much like whatever. I’m not a fan of Sara and I’m pretty much over Daniel too. He really has no use anymore. What I’d like to see is him either go to jail for shooting Emily or go away.

– The rest of this season is going to be very interesting and I cannot wait to see where we go from tonight.
