Working out doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes we’ll make every excuse on why we can’t squeeze a good workout in. “I don’t have the right clothing.” “I can’t afford a gym membership.” “I don’t have the right equipment.” Stop making excuses and just do it. Throw on a pair of old shorts and a t-shirt, move some furniture around and use your body as your weight.

There are numerous exercises that use your body that will give you some great results. All you need is yourself and determination. Check out these five bodyweight exercises below!

Bear Crawl- On your hands and toes, tighten the core and reach your right hand and foot forward followed by your left hand and foot up. Alternate between the two. This works the entire body.

Burpee- In a slight squat, reach down and jump back into a plank. Do a push up, bring the feet in and push of the floor into a horizontal jump the squat down and start over. This works the entire body.

Wall Sit- With your back against the wall, slowly slide down until thighs are parallel to the ground making sure the knees are directly above the ankles. For more of a challenge, add a set of weights. This works the legs.

Tricep Dips– By a bench, stable chair or step grab the edge of the surface and straight your arms. Slowly dip down the back up using your heels to push up. For a challenge, alternate lifting the right arm and left leg and vice versus. This works the arms and shoulders.

Donkey Kick- In sit up position, tighten the core and kick both legs back in the air with the knee slightly bent. Your feet should reach back toward your glutes. This works the chest and back.
