SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
After months of waiting we are back and things are even more “revengier”. So many twists and revelations tonight and even more questions. Let’s get into this week’s episode!
We open up with Emily at the doctor’s office trying to figure out what’s going on with her blackouts. She finds out she has swelling in her front lobe, but there’s not much she can do about it. Patrick burned down Victoria’s gallery, but of course Victoria feels like it’s her fault he did. He hired his biological father as the contractor, against Victoria’s wishes and before he knew that he’d raped her, so he plans to kill him but Victoria talks him out of it.
During one of her blackouts, Emily finds out that she called the first Mrs. Grayson, Stevie Grayson, to help with her divorce from Daniel. She doesn’t go through with it since she didn’t plan to divorce him to begin with. She then blackouts and ends up at Aiden’s house, confessing her love and trying to make out with him, but Aiden pushes her away and tells her he can’t do that and that she’s not acting like herself. He leaves and as he’s getting into the car, Niko sticks a needle in his neck that knocks him out.
Niko has kidnapped Aiden after finding her father’s sword under his bed. She tells him of her plan to lure Emily to their hiding place and then kill her in front of him.
While talking to his father, Patrick finds out that he really did want his child (Patrick) he had with Victoria and he wanted to be with her, but Victoria didn’t want to be with him.
Nolan finds Emily passed out in front of her house and tries to figure out what she remembers from her black out. She blacks out again and comes to at Charlotte’s big birthday party that Daniel put together last minute.
We find out at the party that it was Conrad’s idea to call his ex wife. We also find out that Emily wasn’t sleeping with Conrad during her blackouts, but was there because she didn’t feel safe around Daniel.
Margo tries to convince Daniel that she wants him at the magazine, but he doesn’t believe her and is more interested in looking into the relationship between Emily and his father.
Nolan shows Emily the short recording of her lashing out at him while she was blacked out, before breaking his phone. Nolan points out how messy Aiden left things before he left and Emily notices the case for the sword that was supposed to be in her possession. Nolan thinks she may have planted it during one of her blackouts. She puts two and two together coming to the conclusion that Niko has Aiden. She finds him and tries to untie him, but Niko appears and tells her their going to fight until she kills her. Emily gets the upper hand and is about to stab her with the sword, but Aiden gets himself untied and stops her. Emily tells him about her blackouts and he tells her he needs to get out while she can before she hurts someone or she gets herself hurt.
Jimmy shows up at the gallery as Victoria is arguing with Patrick about why he didn’t fire him. Jimmy tells them he knew from the get who Victoria was. Him and Victoria start arguing and she tries to leave, he grabs her and Patrick grabs him. Jimmy punches him in the gut and Patrick pushes him and he hits his head on the counter. Patrick tries to call the ambulance, but Victoria stops him and Jimmy dies.
Stevie talks with Jack about her memories at the Stowaway and reveals that she’s Conrad’s ex-wife. They talk about his son and Jack alludes to his bad history with Conrad. Stevie changes her plans to leave town. As Victoria and Conrad are going over their divorce, Stevie shows up and tells Victoria that she’s the one who owns the Grayson Manor property. She also tells Conrad that she has no plans of partnering with him and that his days of treating people bad are ending. She shows back up at the Stowaway to get more information from Jack about what exactly Conrad did to him. Jack tells her it’s not her business, but she says that it is because she’s his mother…
Emily and Nolan are discussing her blackouts and she tells him that the doctor called and her blackouts have nothing to do with any of her injuries sustained from her accident. Nolan tells her that she may have to look into the possibility that she may have inherited what her mother had, which I believe she was schizophrenic.
Some takeaways…
– So Emily’s blackouts possibly being hereditary changes everything. From the previews we hear her say that she plans to kill everyone which is probably not a good idea. I’m still on the fence about how I feel about the entire scenario.
– Patrick just keeps ending up with his hands dirty. He’s not taking killing his father well and Victoria isn’t much help either. With his father out of the picture, I’m not sure what direction they’ll go with Patrick. I think we may see him deal with some regret and demons surrounding his father’s death.
– Surprisingly, and not so surprisingly, there wasn’t much Daniel or Charlotte. Daniel does throw the party for Charlotte, but aside from their short conversations we do know, which is no surprise, that Daniel is a manipulator and he manipulates Charlotte into trying to get close to Conrad to see what he’s up to. I see a lot of foolery stemming from this plan.
— I so saw Stevie being connected to Jack’s dad in some way, just off of how she was looking at those pictures. The whole mother thing did creep into my mind, but I so thought that they would just go the route of her having a previous relationship with him. This is going to be very interesting and I’m pretty sure it’s going to shake up some things on all fronts.
– It was a solid return, but of course it only left me with so many questions. It’s going to be an interesting ride.
