SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
Revenge just keeps getting hotter and hotter. I have my suspicions about the future of this series, but I’ll leave that for my takeaways. Check out the recap for ‘Disgrace’ below!
Daniel shows Victoria the picture of Emily and Aiden kissing and tells her of his plans to divorce Emily, which of course Victoria wants to witness.
Margaux’s father Paschal returned to the Hamptons with her because they agreed that he would help with firing Conrad from the magazine. He and Conrad catch up and they run into Victoria. There are obviously old feelings between the two but Victoria won’t give him the time of day.
Emily and Nolan try to connect Stevie to her father and decipher if she’s on the good or bad side. Emily tries to talk to her after her AA meeting, but Jack is there and tells her to leave Stevie out of the Grayson’s mess. While bonding, Jack learns that his mother visited David in prison. He tries to change the subject, telling her that everyone who goes down that path ends up hurt or dead. While flipping through his wedding photo album she stops on an image of Emily and Amanda.
Emily returns to Grayson Manor and is summoned to the study where she finds Daniel and Victoria demanding a divorce. She tells them how she will say that she couldn’t help herself finding solace in someone else arms after her husband cheated on her, tried to kill her then forced her to blame Lydia Davis. She tells them that the court would take her side and then leaves. While talking with Nolan at her beach house she gets a visit from Stevie who wants to know who she really is.
She tells Emily that she knows she’s connected to Amanda in someway and wants to know if she’s double crossing Jack. Emily tells her that Amanda was her best friend, like a sister. Stevie puts two and two together and thinks that Emily wants to try to help Amanda. She tells her that she tried to help David, but was pulled over a blew a .14 when she never drunk then drove; she was set up by Conrad. Emily tells her she wants answers but to leave it alone for Jack.
Stevie talks to Jack about her visit with Emily and tells him that an innocent man went to jail. If they could bring some type of justice then that’s not wrong. She tells him that she had a piece of evidence that could’ve helped David’s case, but it was confiscated by her firm when she was disbarred. Working with Nolan, Jack breaks into the firm’s archives to try to locate the file but the files aren’t dated. Nolan connects him to his friend from jail Javier, who helps him decode the files.
Margaux stands up to her father and asks him to leave her office building and makes Conrad stay. Conrad reveals that Paschal has been taking money from the magazine and pretty much blackmails him so that he can take a leadership position at his business headquarters.
Victoria hires Daniel’s PI to track where Aiden is. After finding out he’s in Bermuda posing no imminent threat, she tells Daniel that she needs Emily to stay married to him because she finds it odd that she was messing around with Aiden; who’s father built the bomb that was on the plane. Also that she was best friends with Amanda and currently living in the Clarke’s old house; she believes they’re connected in someway. Daniel doesn’t agree and wants to divorce Emily immediately.
Jack brings the files to Emily, but she gets upset because she didn’t want him getting involved. She looks over the files with Nolan and the come across information about who built the bomb.
Everyone shows up at the opera with their own agendas. Margaux goes to Daniel telling him it’s time to take care of their fathers once and for all. During the show, Charlotte gets a message from someone on the Voulez tip line leaking Emily’s medical records proving she faked her pregnancy. It turns into this big showdown between her, Victoria and Daniel and Emily leaves telling them they’ll regret this.
Conrad meets with Paschal and tells him that he has the one thing that Paschal wants, Victoria. Emily packs her things and leaves Grayson Manor. Daniel asks his mother if she leaked the records and she tells him that she didn’t. He then says that if Emily sticks around they’ll know for sure if she’s targeting their family. Meanwhile, Nolan has a new permanent housemate. Javier gave his parole officer Nolan’s address and he’s on house arrest there. He shows Nolan a code he’s been working on and Nolan tells him that it just may makeup for him being there.
Jack shows up at Emily’s house to see if she’s okay after what happened at the opera. She tells him that everything went how she planned. He then tells her that he’s going to help with bringing down the Grayson’s. She tells him that it’s too dangerous, but he tells her that he got himself involved and he’s going to follow through.
She shows him what was on the files he stole, and it’s a copy of a handwritten letter to Conrad about her father telling him that they’d done their part of the deal. Emily recognized the writing and compared it to a letter she received from Paschal when she agreed to let the magazine cover her wedding. She tells Jack this is why she didn’t want him to get involved because she knows how much he loves Margaux, but Jack tells her that a risk he’s willing to take.
Some takeaways…
– As I mentioned before, this season just keeps getting better. I honestly believe we’re ending the end of this series. There are only so many ways that you can drag out this type of a storyline and now with Jack’s involvement it kind of feels like their ready to just bring everything down. I honestly don’t see this going another season, they may try to drag it out for another season, but I could definitely see them wrapping this up this season.
– We got some new characters who look like they’re going to be sticking around for a little bit. I’m okay with Stevie sticking around although I don’t think that Emily is going to reveal her true identity to her. Javier, I’m still on the fence about him. I’m not quite sure why he’s needed. They can do some things with him, but I kind of feel like that’s what Nolan’s for. Paschal is directly (possibly) linked to David Clarke, so of course we know that he’s going to be taken down eventually by Emily and crew.
– Daniel is evil. I used to root for him, but I’m almost cheering for Emily to kill him or something. From the looks of next week, he’s going to get even more feisty. I will say that I’m glad that the Graysons are starting to open their eyes a little bit, because Emily has been playing them for quite sometime. This is also why I think we’re nearing the end of the series. Either way, I’m excited about what’s ahead!
