SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
Well, well, well… I am really liking how this season is shaping out. I won’t get into my predictions just yet. Check out the recap below followed by my thoughts on the remainder of the season!
Emily meets with Pascal at the race horses (arranged by Victoria) and tells him that she knows he’s two timing her and leaves after getting his finger print. She sends it to Aiden who’s breaking into Pascal’s business office to hopefully get answers about Oscar Chapman. Emily runs into Victoria and tells her pretty much the same thing that she told Pascal, but Victoria leaves and goes to talk to a guy named Luke Gilliam.
The conversation starts to get heated so they go in private and Emily secretly follows and finds out that he used to work for Conrad and that Conrad initially tried to frame him.
Javier is sneaking around with Charlotte who convinces him to talk to her brother about his program while Nolan is trying to talk with him to mend the slight rift caused by the contract negotiations. Daniel shows the program to Margeaux and tells her that he thinks she should present it to her father.
Jack returns from LA only to find that Margeaux is too distracted. He tells her they need to talk, but she’s in the middle of negotiations and wants to wait until they’re done. Conrad pays Victoria a visit to see why Luke is back. She tells him that her associations are none of his business and he tells her to ask Pascal what his involvement in framing David Clarke was.
Nolan tries to talk to Javier again and tells him about how he sees potential in him. He tells him about how David took a chance on him and that that’s what he wants to do with him. He tells him to think about it because he doesn’t want him to go down the wrong path.
Jack goes to Emily to try to talk to someone who understands what’s going on with him. He sees who her next target is and Emily tells him that he can help even though she really doesn’t want him involved. He tells her he’s all in if it means bringing down the Graysons.
Victoria confronts Pascal about David and he tells her that everything he did was to protect her because he has always loved her. She tells him that they need to take down Conrad for good or he’ll keep on coming after them.
Emily meets with Luke to try to work for his organization while Jack poses as a member of a community where his natural gas is emitted. Emily gets a vial of the water that Luke carries around without him seeing it. Emily stands up for Luke against Jack and Luke invites her to his awards ceremony.
Daniel and Margeaux try to wine and dine Javier with gifts and cars to get him to sign with them while also getting the terms of his probation changed. He tells them that he needs to think about it because he’d made promises to Nolan, so they give him a car while he contemplates.
Aiden and Nolan are stacking out the apartment of a woman who is connected to Oscar Chapman. When they confront the woman she stuns Nolan with a stun gun and tries to run. Aiden catches her and snatches off her wig to reveal that it’s really Oscar.
After they tell Oscar who they are, they find out that Aiden’s father was really going to turn himself in but Oscar told Pascal and the next he heard Aiden’s father was dead of an apparent suicide. He went on the run fearing for his life. He believed he was murdered and agrees to help them anyway he can.
Pascal confronts Conrad and reveals that he has every conversation they had about David on tape meaning he now controls him. Meanwhile, Charlotte uses some flirting to try to sway Javier into signing with Daniel. She tells him that Nolan will only look after himself and that he should want to be the next Nolan Ross, not standing beside him.
Victoria reveals to Daniel that she was the one who brought Luke back to the Hamptons. She tells him it’s to test a theory while she tells him that she knows his negotiations have something to do with Emily as well.
Javier returns to Nolan’s house to find him trying to access his clone on the cloud but it’s not there. Nolan also tries to give him a revised contract, one that he thinks he’ll like better. Nolan then asks him where his ankle brace is and he tells him that Daniel called in a favor and had it removed. Nolan puts two and two together and tells him that he’s not ready, neither is the program. Javier gets upset and tells him that he only thinks about himself and that no one is going to play him, but Nolan tells him he’s already been played.
Victoria shows up at the awards ceremony to Emily’s surprise. During his acceptance speech, Luke drinks the water from one of his tubes not knowing it had been changed. He collapses
Oscar leaves his kitchen and enters the living room to find Pascal who kills him. Conrad finds Aiden at a bar and tries to proposition him into helping him so that he can get to Pascal. He shows him a picture of a dead Oscar and Aiden leaves. After he leaves an unidentified man shows up and we find out that Conrad was the one who alerted Pascal to Oscar’s whereabouts.
Emily (disguised) hacks Luke’s computer while he’s in the hospital and tells him to give her the information he has on Conrad or she’ll ruin his life. He gives in and tells her that he’ll give her what she wants.
Jack shows up at Margeaux’s office after hearing about what happened with Nolan. He tries to convince her that Daniel is using her and that Nolan really wanted to help Javier. Margeaux won’t listen and Daniel tells her that he can’t be around her anymore.
While celebrating getting Javier, Daniel and Charlotte are in the yard when the lights blow out. Nolan appears and tells Daniel that while he may have turned Margeaux and Charlotte he won’t do the same to Javier. He’s going to make sure nothing happens to him and declares war.
Emily and Jack are sharing a drink going over what Luke had on Conrad. It’s not enough to clear David’s name but it shows that Conrad was involved. Jack decides to leave and Emily wishes him luck on his move with Margeaux. He tells her that he doesn’t think that they’re moving in together or that it’s going to work out between them after all. Emily apologizes and he leaves.
She pulls out the red sharpie and crossed Luke out of the picture at the same time that Victoria crosses him out with a black sharpie. She tells Pascal that she believes that Emily has been in hiding and is after something bigger than the Graysons. She believes she’s been there to try to clear David’s name.
Some takeaways…
– If you listened to last week’s Glam DEETS podcast then you know that this is exactly how I wanted the season to go if we were going to get a fourth season. As soon as the final scene played I shouted I knew it! I mean, there really was no other way to take this story without being redundant. Now I’m excited to see how the rest of the season plays out.
– I also talked about the news that someone important dies this season. I’m still sticking to my prediction of either Aiden or Daniel. I would like for it to be Daniel, but as of now I’m leaning a little more towards Aiden just because of what happened in this episode. This could totally change later on though.
– I knew Pascal couldn’t be trusted. Something about him just didn’t sit right with me and why would they introduce this new character and have him sticking around if they weren’t going to put him to use. We’re finding out that he’s more involved in the whole David Clarke situation than we thought and I can’t wait for Victoria to see who he really is.
– Now that Jack seems to be moving on from Margeaux (fingers crossed) can we please get rid of her. I for sure know that she’s not going to be in the next season. I haven’t read any news about it, but seriously she was attached to Jack for so long and no one wants to see her sticking around with Daniel. I’m pretty sure that once everything with her father is reveals she’ll disappear too.
Are you excited that Victoria is finally figuring things out? Have any end of the season predictions? Let me know below!
