SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
They’re not holding anything back this season. We’re getting right to the nitty gritty and we’ve got one big mystery to solve. Here’s the recap!
Sloane meets with the girls to tell them that they’re going to sit the next performance out in respect for Olivia. Jelena meets with her and tells her that it’s not what Olivia would do or what Oscar would want. She tells her that she’s letting her feelings get in the way of her judgement.
Sloane meets with Detective (not quite sure of his name so we’ll reference him as such) to compare notes on Oscar and how Olivia ties in. He tells her that since Oscar has the arena on lock down, this might be the perfect time for her to get in there and get some answers.
Zero is throwing all of his lines at Jelena to get her out on a date, telling her that Terrence is the only one who deserves her but she shuts him down.
Pete meets with Asha to check on how she’s dealing with Olivia’s death and tells her that she might want to give her mom some support on this. He also tells her about his relationship with Raquel. He returns to his office to find Lionel who’s there to see how he’s dealing with Olivia’s death. He quickly shuts her down, telling her that she never liked Olivia or Chase. She then tries to get more information about Raquel but he tells her she is none of her business.
Asha meets with her mom in the practice room to go over the upcoming routine and they seem to kind of come to a truce without saying too much.
German officially starts his first day as the new Assistant Coach. He runs into Asha in the hallway and thanks her for not standing in the way of his dreams. Derek walks up and kind of is a jackass and German leaves. Asha tells him that he can’t rub their relationship in his face and to be nice to him. Derek doesn’t trust that German took the job for reasons other that Asha, but she tells him that he doesn’t have the same opportunities as him and he needs to be okay with how the situation is currently.
Pete debuts his relationship with Raquel at the Devils event. Lionel isn’t having any of that and lets Jude know that they don’t have an agreement as long as Pete and Raquel are together.
The ladies do a lyrical performance and following it Sloane meets with Stephanie (I think that’s her name) to try to get her to be her assistant. She turns it down and tells her that Oscar had her fired. She also tells her that Olivia was fired and planed to show up at the groundbreaking.
Jude meets Pet in the parking lot and provokes him by telling him that he wants to date Sloane and questions how she got the director position when she’s not qualified. He insinuates that she slept with Oscar and that he plans to do the same before Pete punches him in the face.
Kyle is in the middle of seducing Teddy (a client) at her apartment when Bonds Man (this is what we’ll call him because I don’t think they’ve said his name) and hits him thinking that he was hurting her. Kyle gets upset and tells him this is why she works alone. She tries to talk to Teddy but it doesn’t work. While talking to Bonds Man about Olivia’s funeral she comes up with an idea and calls Teddy and invites him to the funeral.
At the funeral, everyone is in attendance and someone thought it was a good idea for Jelena to do the eulogy. Well she barely gets through it without laughing and Zero steps up and pretty much saves her quoting scriptures and talking about ways people grieve. Immediately following the funeral we see Jelena and Zero getting it on in the confessional at the church… yea sit on that for a minute.
At the grave site Bonds Man goes against Teddy in a faux barter acting as a producer who wants Kyle in his movies. They get Teddy to pay 150 thousand to use Kyle in a movie.
Raquel thanks Asha for being okay with her and her father’s relationship. Asha then lets it slip that her parents were together a couple of weeks ago. Raquel gets angry, confronts Pete and tells him it’s over to Lionel’s satisfaction.
As the coffin is being lowered police show up and arrest Chase charging him with the murder of his wife as he screams out his innocence.
Some takeaways…
– I don’t know if Chase had something to do with Olivia’s death but I don’t trust him. If anyone set him up it was Oscar or Jude.
– Zero was a little too desperate for me this episode but hey he got what he wanted… I guess. Not quite sure how I feel about him.
– I feel like Derek is going to try to sabotage German. I could be wrong, but I totally feel it brewing.
