It’s a new month which means it’s time for my monthly fitness check in! June was a great month for me personally. I didn’t reach all of my goals, but I was still able to stay active and on track.
Let’s start with my 30 mile walking goal– so that was a bust. In May I walked about 22 miles but only walked about 12 miles in June. The main reason was because of rain. My work schedule changed this past month so I get off a little later and by then it would be pouring. I think it rained for what seemed like a week. I plan to keep this same goal for July so we’ll see how that pans out.
I am in LOVE with outdoor yoga and Pilates. My city offers workouts in the park every Saturday from June to August. I’ve been doing yoga and Pilates and it’s been kicking my but– Pilates really. I’ve worked muscles that haven’t been worked in a while and I’m actually seeing results.
As for on my own, I do yoga and various hit workouts at home. I was just thinking about it, I actually haven’t been to the farmer’s market yet this summer. That’s on my list of things to do since I’ve been eating mostly uncooked food. I’ve also been making light based smoothies using just fruit, coconut water and of course flax seeds. I’m not sure about my actual weight, but I have lost inches. I bought a couple of pairs of jean shorts back in March that fit pretty snuggle and one pair is practically falling off of my waist. Since I just got the chance to wear them this past week I’ll probably just take them somewhere to get altered.
Other than that, July will continue with my walking goal, outdoor workouts and clean eating. I’m also planning a hiking outing with my brother. Not quite sure if I’m going to do somewhere local or go a little bit further out so that we can actually hike something with a decent amount of elevation.
