SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
Yup things are definitely heating up and I’m coming up with more questions than answers. We do get a very important answer by the end of this episode. Check out the recap below!
After Sloane’s photo leaked the Devil Girls had several previous engagements fall through. Oscar refuses to fire Sloane since he hired her for branding the Devils as a “family” team. Zero thinks that that’s the end of Jelena’s crusade against Sloane, but Jelena believes that she won’t return to coach the team.
Ahsha is upset with Derek after being kept in a holding cell overnight after the police found his cocaine in her bag. He tells her that he was able to pull some strings so that she was let go with a warning. Ahsha doesn’t care and refuses to get in the car with him, upset that not only did she take the fall for his drugs but now she knows the extent of his partying.
German finds Pete passed out from too much drinking. He tries to convince him not to go to practice and calls Ahsha to come check on him. Pete tells her that his entire life is a mess and he also tells Ahsha what happened to Sloane at the Roast.
Jelena goes with Terrence to a dinner with his old college pal who played football. It quickly turns awkward when Vance starts to act weird as if he didn’t know about certain things that happened in his life. Terrence thinks that something is definitely going on.
Jude confronts Zero about his fight with Derek and tells him that he needs to chill out. Zero tells him to trust him and walks off. Raquel comes around the corner and tells Jude that she wants to take him up on his offer for lunch. He quickly agrees not knowing that she has an ulterior motive.
Kyle gets her own personal valet and takes total advantage of it. She demands that he not just aid in her beck and call but the girls on the team too.
Ahsha goes to Sloane to talk to her about what happened at the Roast. She tells her about Pete and his hangover and Sloane tells her that it’s a cycle and it’s starting again and that things will only get worse. Ahsha wants to try to help him through it but Sloane tells her that this is something that she doesn’t want to be apart of.
Derek continues to try to reach out to Ahsha but she won’t listen to him. At a coffee shop the barista asks him about Olivia saying she remembered seeing him there with her. He tells her that she’s mistaken and quickly leaves.
Ahsha tries to convince Sloane that she should stand up against Jelena and not let her win. Sloane thinks that she’s pretty much done but Ahsha won’t let her give up. She heads out to a private event that the Devil Girls booked.
Terrence finds out that Vance has CTB which side effects include memory loss, depression and dementia. He tells Jelena disclosing that Vance suffered a lot of concussions while playing ball. He tells her that they can’t mention anything about his condition to Vance while Zero watches through the window in the shadows.
Lionel tells Jude that she’s not coming to anymore game since she was only there for Pete to begin with. During their lunch date, Raquel finds out a little more about Jude’s relationship with Oscar. She asks him to get her sweater out of his car and uses that as an opportunity to get the number for Oscar’s burner phone off of Jude’s cellphone. She sends it to Sloane who contacts Michael (detective guy) asking him to run the number for him.
At the private event the Devil Girls perform a Bollywood inspired routine. After the performance Ahsha confronts Jelena about what she did to her mother promising her that she’s now coming for her.
Lionel goes to Pete to give him the signed divorce papers. Happy, he suggests that they toast to finally ending things.. of course they end up sleeping with each other. Meanwhile, Vance comes to Jelena’s house for dinner with her and Terrence. He believes that she and Terrence are married with kids and Jelena goes along with the story telling him about how good their life is s Terrence walks in. Vance then convinces Terrence to dance with Jelena and for a moment they have a connection, but Terrence cuts it off and claims that he has to go home to prepare for practice in the morning. He then thanks Jelena for putting on a show for Vance.
Ahsha asks Derek if his cocaine use is the end or the beginning of something telling him that this kind of thing ruined her parent’s relationship. He tells her it’s not and they quickly makeup.
Zero confronts Jelena in the parking lot telling her that he’s the next big thing and Terrence’s time is running out. He tells her that he knows exactly who she is and he wants her– you know so they can rule the city and all. He then gives her an ultimatum telling her to choose either him or Terrence.
Sloane had Michael run both Oscar and Olivia’s numbers. She finds out that Raquel called Olivia 15 times the day she died. Raquel tells her that Olivia had something on her and was blackmailing her into standing with her at the opening. We find out that Raquel is in the US illegally and that she’s been using a fake social security number to get work. Sloane tells her that she won’t tell anyone her secret and Raquel tells her that she still plans to help her take Oscar down just as Jude walks in demanding to know what they’re talking about.
Some takeaways…
– Who killed Olivia? I’m pretty sure we know what Olivia had on everyone who received a red envelope… unless they spring someone out of the blue later. From what we know they all have a pretty good enough reason for wanting Olivia dead. I’m going to say that my top three suspects are Raquel, Derek and Jude but I’m more leaning toward one of the first two.
– I’m sorry but I’m not that interested in Kyle’s storyline. I thought she was spicy and a great comedic relief last season but I kind of want to see them do something else with her other than use rich men for what they can give her. If it was just one specific thing then maybe I could be on board with it but she’s already had two story arcs this season I’d even say two and half. I want to see more about her working with Oscar, that would for sure be more interesting.
– I do enjoy seeing a softer side of Jelena but Zero is working my last nerve. He is a walking contradiction and I want someone to go head to head with him to take him out. I’m thinking that person may be Derek either way I’m more interested in Derek’s storyline out of the boys. Although I do think Ahsha forgave him and took him at his work about his drug use a little too easily.
