SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
So many golden nuggets at the end of this episode and some of them surprisingly weren’t that surprising… at least to me. It was a solid episode thought, so get into the recap below!
Zero tells Jelena that he’s going to speed up her decision on choosing between him or Terrence. He tells her that he can pretty much make the playoffs go either way and throw the entire season if he has to.
At the team breakfast German tells Ahsha that Pete missed the big coach’s dinner without any notice. She asks him how everything is going and he tells her that he’s in a better state of mind but she doesn’t seem to be buying it.
Kyle finds herself between a bidding war when her multiple rich dates find out about each other. She scheduled their dates around each other and two of them ran into each other at the horse race. There’s obviously something between the two of them that they feel like they need to best the other so Kyle is pretty happy to access to both of their pockets.
Ahsha confronts Pete in his office about his drinking problem telling him that she knows he’s still drinking because she smelled it on his breath She tells him that she’s not going to stick around while he drinks so he needs to choose her or alcohol and of course he tells her that he chooses her… yea I would’ve needed some receipts or something.
Jelena asks Ahsha why she hasn’t come for her yet. She tells her that she doesn’t have any “Jelena” in her and Jelena agrees before leaving the locker room. Kyle, overhearing, tells her that she’s too nice but Ahsha tells her that she’s just playing the game of backstabbing. She’s going to learn Jelena’s weaknesses, let her put her guard down and then attack.
The Devil Girls perform at half-time and Zero holds his shot just as the buzzer goes off, releasing it and making it but the ref says it’s not valid because he let it go too late. He then goes to Jelena and pretty much tells her that he did it on purpose and time is running out.
Kyle schedules her dates at the same time and they realize she’s playing a game. They decide to all meet the next day and present Kyle with their best offer so that she can choose one of them (she ends up getting a fancy dress, a necklace and her apartment paid in full).
Ahsha slashes Jelena’s tires and waits until she leaves the car park to get into her iPad to send some emails to herself. Meanwhile, Jude propositions Raquel about not getting deported and letting Sloane take the blame if she gets everything that they have on Oscar and gives it to him.
Ahsha decides to go after Jelena’s image and sends a tip to the LA Times about her relationship with a Calli Maria, a Madame if you will. Kyle tells her that once she does this she can’t undo it so Ahsha sends the email.
Raquel goes to Sloane about Jude’s proposition telling her that he said she received a letter from Olivia when she never said it. They realize that he must’ve received one too and try to find out what Olivia had on him.
Raquel breaks into Jude’s apartment and finds the letter he received from Olivia. She calls Sloane who is freaking out because Jude wants to meet with her now. She tells her about the letter and how the number is to a coke dealer but she can’t find any drugs in his apartment. She then tells her that she doesn’t know what the #22 means, but then she sees Derek’s picture of him in his uniform making the connection.
Ahsha arrives at the arena to find a swarm of reporters outside talking to Zero about how his name was connected to the Calli Maria, whose name was supposed to be linked to Jelena, and how she supplied him with multiple girls. Zero denies it even though a reporter insists that this goes against his very public religious image. Ahsha then realizes that she set up the wrong person.
Ahsha tells Derek that she sent the anonymous email and he tells her that this isn’t her, it’s Jelena but she insists that she’s nothing like her. Jelena then sits down for an interview with Extra and talks about how upset she is by the entire deal. She then says that men who think they’re powerful aren’t as powerful as they presume. She then says that she doesn’t know who leaked the email but she believes that they’re really a dark person. (I think Jelena set this entire thing up)
Pete and Lionel are enjoying each other’s company by the pool when someone sends over glasses of champagne. Pete hesitates telling her that he promised Ahsha that he wouldn’t drink but then gives in saying it’s only champagne. As they’re heading into the elevator, Ahsha sees them and notices the beer in Pete’s hand; he doesn’t see her, but Lionel does right before the door closes.
Zero goes to Jelena to tell her that his publicist can fix the backlash but she tells him that she doesn’t think it’s going to work. He realizes that she set him up and she tells him that she’d rather have a 5% chance with Terrence than a 100% chance with him.
Sloane and Raquel meet with Jude and they tell him that they know about the coke deal and they know they complete story. They all agree to back down and not get Oscar or the police involved. Jude leaves and
Ahsha meets Derek at the airport to tell him that she’s not Jelena and she feels bad for what she’s done. Jelena also shows up to warn Terrence to watch his back against Zero. Derek and Terrence finally make up and Jelena pretty much tells Ahsha that she set the entrie thing up, even airing Sloane’s
Jelena then tells her that she can change her email but her IP address is the same and that soon everyone will know that she was the anonymous person. German tells Ahsha that Pete is missing and she goes to get him just as Lionel arrives.
Zero and Jude are in the limo talking about what to do about Zero’s career since all of his sponsors have dropped him. Jude promises that he’s not going anywhere and Zero thanks him for being there patting him on the leg. Jude takes that as a sign to go in for a kiss and Zero freaks out.
Ahsha goes to Pete’s hotel room to wake him up but he doesn’t wake up. She starts to freak out when she realizes he’s not moving or breathing and this is how they leave us.
Some takeaways…
– Jelena is just too damn good at screwing people over. I know I said I want to see someone take her down, but it just looks like it will end with a lot of innocent (and not so innocent) carnage.
– I’m honestly not surprised that Jude is gay. I felt that he was in the first episode but quickly dismissed it when he seemed to be very interested in Raquel. I have to say I’m really loving how his character is developing. Also, I secretly think Zero kind of liked the kiss because it took him a little too long to push Jude away… I’m just saying.
– I’m pretty sure Pete is alive but I really hope that Ahsha sticks around and helps him through this because Lionel is a bad influence. I mean I’m pretty sure she drugged him…
