SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
After last week’s titillating end I didn’t thing they could make it any hotter. I was totally proved wrong. When I say this was the episode of chemistry… it was the episode of chemistry. Get into this week’s recap below!
After pushing Jude away from him Zero tells him that he’s gay. Jude denies it but Zero tells him that it’s okay if he is, he just needs to own it. Jelena shows up at Terrence’s hotel room with that sensual look in her eye and they finally get it on… I mean this is what we’ve been waiting for all season right?
Oscar asks Kyle to help him by leaking to the network that holds their contract (expiring soon) that Time Warner is putting in a higher offer. He tells her that the one condition is that she has to wear a wire to record the conversation. She goes golfing with the network owner and she tells him that Time Warner is putting in a bid for over $200 million and she convinces him to bid $30 million more. She gives the recording to Oscar who thanks her, deletes it and then gives her back the wire for future “assignments”.
At the guy’s photoshoot, Zero is sitting out because he doesn’t think the shoot would be good for his image Jude tells him that it’s a big shoot and he needs to do it. The photographer tells him that he can’t change the layout but Jude pretty much tells him he has to and he accommodates. Ahsha asks Jelena when she plans to expose her but she gets a vague answer. Jelena tells her that During an oil break, Ahsha tells Derek about what really happened with Pete.
The photographer approaches Jude after the photoshoot to ask for his number but Jude tells him he’s not gay. The photographer is clearly not buying it and gives him his number anyway in case he changes his mind.
Pete wakes up to find Sloane still in his room. He thanks her for everything and she tells him that he scared Ahsha and then dragged her back there to clean up his mess again. He tries to tell her that his drinking has to do with coaching and dealing with Lionel and Raquel but Sloane calls bs. He then tells her that she’s his trigger and she tells him that if he wants to take it there then they’re going to go there.
Lionel gets an opening interview with Entertainment Tonight gushing about how amazing Pete is and hint that there’s something still between them. The Devil Girls then perform in their dance studio. After the performance Rocsi interviews Jelena about how she’s dealing with the Zero thing, but Ahsha cuts in and confesses to leaking the email out of jealousy and asks for her forgiveness. Jelena tells her she’s forgiven and after the interview is done she gives Ahsha the death stare.
A girl approaches German at the stadium telling him he’s so cute and asking about Pete. Sensing that she’s not who she appears to be, he asks her who she really is. She tries to change the subject but he keeps asking. She confesses that she’s an investigative reporter for a sports site and he tells her no comment before walking away.
Pete and Sloane let everything out and she figures out that the leaked photo is what set Pete back on his path of drinking. He tells her that seeing her as that girl again made him feel bad because he let her drown and OD. She tells him that ending up in the hospital is how she found out she was pregnant and he tells her he let her drown but he did nothing.
After finding Oxy in Terrence’s locker at the stadium she confronts him at his apartment. He tells her that it’s the same bottle she gave him but she dumps an entire box of it on the bed. She asks him why he’s using it and he tells her that he’s injured; like career ending injured. She puts the blame on hrself telling him that he wouldn’t have the drugs if it wasn’t for him. She apologizes for what she did telling him that she’s very, very sorry. He tells her that he’s never heard her apologize.
Jelena asks for an apology as well because he pushed her into doing what she did because he kept secrets. He tells her that he kept things away from her because he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to rule the city with her. He tells her that his leg is beyond messed up and hat he’s risking everything by playing on it to win a championship. She tells him that she supports him even if it may cost her everything she ever wanted for herself or them both.
Jelena tells him that she meant what she said about supporting him but he needs to ditch the drugs. She tells him that it’s only masking the pain and that if he wins while taking them it’ll hurt more. He agrees to stop taking them.
Jude shows up at Zero’s place to pick him up for the Devils party but he refuses telling him that he doesn’t want to see Ahsha. He realizes that Jude is anxious to go to the party and asks why. He tells him that he planned to meet someone there and that they need to leave but Zero refuses.
At the party Ahsha tells Derek that she’s not in the mood for drinking. She tells him about the ultimatum that she gave Pete and Derek asks her how long it’s been going on. He then puts two and two together and realizes that German knew about what was going on the entire time. He gets upset with her because she trusted German with that information over him.
Back at Pete’s hotel him and Sloane seem to semi make up after Pete lays his heart all out and she goes in for a kiss.
Raquel walks into Kyle’s closet, to get something I assume, when she finds Kyle’s red envelope from Olivia. Kyle walks up and sees her holding it. She asks what Olivia had on her and she tells her what she had on her. Kyle reveals that she’s working with Oscar and Raquel tells her that he’s a murderer. She tells her that she’s working with someone to prove it and tells her about Mia and how he used to make her wear wires.
The reporter who approached German earlier is at the party snooping around for answers. German confronts her and asks her why she’s there before escorting her out of the party
Jude is still at Zero’s apartment trying to help him get ready. Zero asks him why he’s in such a hurry to meet the photographer, Danny. Jude asks him why he’s so concerned about who he wants to meet up with. He then tells him that he only went in for that kiss because he felt something, a connection, coming from Zero. Zero denies it and Jude gives up telling him that he’s leaving without him. Zero stops him and goes in for a kiss, they part then go in again before tearing each other’s clothes off.
Ahsha and Derek have a very public argument about their trust issues. She tells him that she stopped trusting him after he let her take the fall for his drugs and he tells her that he’s done and she can go back to German if she wants because he doesn’t care anymore.
Some takeaways…
– Welp… I would say I told you so, but I won’t. Okay I lied, I told you so! I knew Zero was into that kiss from last episode, I mean he hesitated a little bit too long before pushing Jude away. This definitely makes for an interesting plot twist.
– It was nice seeing a softer side of Jelena. I’m not really a fan of Jelena but I was definitely rooting for her and Terrence to get back together. Not quite sure how she”s going to make Ahsha pay for her confessing to leaking the email.
– I had a feeling Ahsha and Derek weren’t going to last long. I actually wanted them to work but hey, let someone let me take the fall for their drugs and I’d be over it too. Not sure how I feel about Pete and Sloane, I want them to work but it seems like it never lasts too long.
– I’m glad that Kyle’s storyline seems to be making more sense in relation to this season’s story as a whole. I mean, I just want to know who really killed Olivia…
