So the VMAs just happened and I was only tuned in for Beyonce– she gave me everything I was hoping for and then some. That’s not quite why we’re here, you can hear all my thoughts about the show on this week’s podcast episode, but let’s get into the night’s fashion shall we? There were a lot of hits, a lot of misses and a lot of blahs. I feel like I have my go-to picks every award show but this one may have a few surprises.
I usually only focus on the positive but I just want to mention that I hated Amber Rose’s look and was not here for Katy Perry and Riff Raff’s denim combo. Now that that’s out of my system let’s get into who I actually loved this year!
Gwen Stefani went bold in a self-designed L.A.M.B. combo. I thought this was a fun, bold choice and perfect for the awards show.
Nicki Minaj kept it classy in a sparkling leopard print mini dress. I actually really liked this look and she looked amazing on the carpet!
For her second look while hosting the VMA Pre-Show, Lucy Hale went with a super cute strapless Oscar de la Renta dress. This was her second look and I have to say I loved this one better. I think this was a fun, chic choice!
I just had to put Kim, Kendall and Kylie together because they all looked amazing. Kim wore a patterned Balmain dress with a plunging V neckline; while Kendall went with an Alon Livne sheer top and pants combo and Kylie a chic wrap dress.
Beyonce looked stunning in a sheer Nicolas Jebran Couture gown. What else is there to say? Her performance was flawless and this look was too!
