SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
From the previews I had a strong feeling that I was not going to like David which was the case for majority of this episode. To keep things a little more organized and easier to understand we’re going to group the Louise storyline into one because it’s just ridiculous. Read the recap below!
Meanwhile, Jack tracks down Nolan at the country club and talks to him about the frame up Emily did on Vince. Nolan tells him that Charlotte was the one who killed Vince and Jack freaks out because he believes if they don’t cover their tracks everyone will go down. Nolan believes if Emily tells David the truth their problems will be solved.
Daniel tries to keep Margaux from leaving but she’s not having it. She tells him that she fell in love with him but he will never change and now she’s the target of a mental patient. She then confronts Louise about locking her in the steam room but she denies it but Margaux tells her she’s officially an enemy of hers. Delusional Louise shows up with flowers to try to see Victoria but she’s shut down. Her mother in her head convinces her that she needs to get pregnant with a faux Daniel baby to get close to Victoria. Daniel gets a letter telling him to meet someone in the shower but he thinks it’s from Margaux… it’s really crazy ass Louise.
Daniel is pissed and calls Louise a lunatic while threatening to send her back to the loony bin. She calls him a lonely, self absorbed bastard who won’t even visit his sick mother in the hospital. Margaux goes to Nolan threatening to write about her steam room episode unless he hacks into her closed police records but Nolan turns her down. Nolan finds Louise at the bar and she tells him that everything can’t be bought and he tells her that he wants to repay the favor of her helping him by helping her be happy. She shows him the poll online asking if David should sue him. She walks away when Nolan picks up the phone and finds the pictures of her and Victoria.
Emily shows up at the hospital to talk to David and he believes her heart has been hardened. He tells her that she lied too but she tells him that everything she did was for him. He tells her that he didn’t ask her to fight and lie for him. While they’re talking Victoria wakes and sees them so she fakes a flat line to distract them but Emily catches on… David doesn’t. The FBI agent shows up to question David and asks him if he’d ever seen Vince before. We then see a flashback that David had met him and he had pictures of Fauxmanda. The agent wants David to go with her for his protection but he turns it down.
Jack sees Emily at the hospital and tells her about the investigation. He then realizes that she told David she’s his daughter but they’re interrupted by the agent who tells him that the knife did tie back to Vince. Emily goes back to talk to David and asks about the photos. He tells her he knows she broke into his safe deposit box and she tells him that she had to lead the police away from him. He asks her who she is and she tells him that she’s his daughter who would do anything for him. Things get heated as she tells him how she did everything to clear his name and he tells her that she doesn’t know the full story before he yells at her that he never asked for her help. She turns and leaves after dropping the photo of them when she was a little girl.
At the hospital Victoria wakes up and he asks her if she knew Emily was really Amanda. She actually tells him that she knew and David asks her why she painted her as an enemy if she knew that she was really his daughter. She tells him that too much transpired between them and Emily had to dig herself out of it alone. Emily is walking into the hospital when she notices a picture of her father in a car. David is sitting with Victoria when two “doctors” show up. They tie his hands and try to take him away threatening to kill Victoria but Emily shows up and starts kicking their asses. David is able to turn on the fire alarm and Emily escapes telling him that she was never there, jumping out of the window before the police showed up.
David meets with Emily and tells her that a rival of Conrad’s staged the stabbing to get him out of jail. The person forced him to do horrible things, showing him a picture of someone who he thought was Amanda. Once he found out about her death he got away and went into hiding. He thanks her for helping him but tells her that he can’t be her father because of what happened in the hospital room. He tells her it’s his turn to protect her and that he loves her infinity times infinity before leaving.
Daniel shows up at Victoria’s room and tells her that Margaux told him that she loved him but he couldn’t say it back. He tells her he doesn’t blame Emily, but Victoria because he sees what she’s currently doing to David. She tells him that Conrad threatened her and she had to choose between him or David and she chose him. He tells her that she always does this because she’s afraid of being alone and he thanks her for being a cautionary tell because he won’t let it happen to him.
He sends Margaux a message asking her to meet him but she’s going over all of the information she’s been able to find on Louise and her family. Nolan shows up telling her he’ll help her if she fixes the damage David’s interview caused on his image. Nolan returns to Emily and she tells him what transpired with David. She tells him that she promised to stay out of it and she will and Nolan tells her that he has a nice little missile for Victoria that she won’t see coming but they’ll talk about it in the morning. Nolan goes and turns off all of the surveillance cameras and we find out that she captured one of the men who attacked her father at the hospital and is going to torture him for information.
Some takeaways…
– Louise needs to go… like yesterday. I’m not here for her or her crazy ass storyline. She and the storyline are not needed– there’s already a lot going on to begin with and she just makes things cluttered. I feel like my dislike for her has surpassed my dislike for Margaux… but I still don’t like Margaux.
– I want Emily and Daniel to get back together. I know that this is probably a delusional request but you cannot deny the amount of chemistry between those two. I have liked every single moment between these two this season… and there have only been two.
– Of course Emily couldn’t stay out of whatever it is that’s going on with David and I mean it would totally be against her character not to get involved. I really want to know who this unidentified enemy is; hopefully it’s nothing like The Initiative that we had to deal with in season two.
– The next episode it looks like Ben is finally going to get his date with Emily. He’s really pushing close to making my dislike list, but I’m holding out a tad bit of hope for him. It also looks like we’re going to see Emily torturing the guy she captured. What I need to see is David apologize to Nolan because he deserves one after that interview hack. I don’t think Louise is going to make it past the mid-season finale. If she does I will cause an uproar.
Do you think Emily should get involved in David’s business. Let me know all of your thoughts and predictions in the comments!
