SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
Oh boy, things are really picking up as lines are being drawn and under the table deals made. There’s no telling quite yet how things are going to play out but the lead up to the many blow ups is getting real juicy. I’ve got all the sketchy details in the recap below!
Ahsha is gets her first paid gig post Devil Girls to teach choreography to the team in Boston while the girls shoot their firefighter themed calendar. Lionel and Jude try to hammer out Derek’s deal with Lucas, Derek’s agent, when Lionel realizes that Lucas is flirting with Jude and tells him he needs to placate him.
Pete finds out that Sloane set the league on the Kincades and warns her to be careful since Oscar is in jail for murder and she’s sticking her neck out. Meanwhile, Ahsha gets an over from the Boston team to join their team after loving her performance but she doesn’t know what to do.
Terrance has lost his shoe deal and wants to postpone their meetings for a potential partner investor. Jelena tells him to keep going while she goes to her mother to get her 10 percent of the Devils from her. Vanessa is more excited about the engagement and makes a deal to discuss her percent of the team further after they plan one thing for her wedding.
Terrence meets with Jackson Everett who calls him out on his bullshit after her lies about still having his shoe deal. He tries to win him back by telling him that Jelena is already out recouping their loss and Jackson tells him they need to be seen as more than player and dancer to be taken seriously. He urges him to come back when they can fully go in.
Jude meets with Derek’s agent over drinks and he tells him they can possibly close it while also asking for a date. They get interrupted by Zero causes a small scene about how his agent isn’t acting like he’s also his agent and not just Derek’s. The agent leaves and Jude calls him out on his actions and Zero plays it off offering to pay their tab.
Ahsha tells Sloane about her offer from Boston and she’s supportive even though she would miss her if she left. Ahsha tries to get in touch with German but he isn’t answering because he’s too busy being paranoid at Olivia’s grave.
Zero goes to plead his case to Pete about why he should be captain but Pete can clearly tell he’s being suckered. He does offer him the position seeing as Terrance is injured and Derek hasn’t signed his deal yet. Kyle is upset because she found out that Teddy is the director for her life movie and vents to Ahsha and Raquel. Ahsha tells them about her offer from Boston but Kyle asks her about Derek but Raquel tells her she’s with German; Ahsha is all team self. German finally returns home and Ahsha tells him that she wants to go to Boston. He tells her that he wants to go with her and she excitedly agrees.
At their lunch date Jude vents about his struggle with Zero who he leaves unnamed and reveals that he was his first and only. When Zero calls his agent Jude tells him not to let him sabotage their date but he tells him that he didn’t Jude did because he’s still hung up on his ex.
Jelena meets her mom at a bridal boutique and things immediately go south at the mention on Jelena’s father. After a brief call with Terrence she tells him that she’s going to do whatever she needs to to get her mother’s 10 percent. After seeing her daughter in her wedding dress and calling her beautiful Jelena goes on the attack and tells Vanessa that it’s all fake. She tells her how she really felt about her mother’s relationship with her father and how she wasn’t a real mother because she didn’t leave after continually being beaten. Vanessa tells her that she now realizes she she doesn’t have a mother and that the only thing she can do for her s walk out of her life forever. She signs over her ten percent to her and tells her that if she ever wants to see her again she needs to be the one to call her and she’ll answer. As she’s leaving Jelena asks her if he still beats her and she tells her no.
Jude and Lionel get a call from Derek’s lawyer telling them he’s not signing and Lionel goes to his house to confront him. She realizes that he’s holding out for Ahsha and she quickly bursts his bubble telling him that both Ahsha and German are going to Boston. Jude tries to convince Adam that Derek will sign but he tells him that they already have a another buyer lined up; leaving out that it’s Terrence and Jelena who got Jackson to go in with them. Zero doesn’t believe anyone would try to steal the team from the Kincades but he spots Terrence and Jelena meeting with Adam at Terrance’s restaurant.
Derek shows up with seconds to spare and tells Lionel he’ll sign but she has to make Ahsha a Devil Girl again.
Some takeaways…
- Apparently Raquel has some type of heart condition which could mean she won’t be a Devil Girl for too much longer. How convenient for Ahsha.
- So can Zero come out of the closet already? I mean, I feel like he’s going to get caught. Him hooking up with Jude again is inevitable.
- Not quite feeling Kyle’s storyline this season. I fell like I said this last season, but this whole movie bit just seems like wasted time. Not quite sure how it’s going to tie in and make me actually care about her movie and random ass Teddy.
- That scene between Jelena and her momma. My gosh, we need more Lynn Whitfield scenes. I thought for a quick second she was going to snatch Jelena up.
- Still intrigued by this Terrance and Jelena takeover even though I think it’s going to blow up in their face. Zero I’m talking to you. I still like that through it all, and I mean even the dirty, they’re still sticking together.
- Still waiting for German to breakdown and confess; it’s coming. Hanging out at graves with a guilty conscious will just get you caught.
- You have to give Derek a little bit of credit even, he is persistent. I can totally see Ahsha falling right back into his arms. Poor German probably going to turn around and try to kill Derek’s ass.
- Even from jail Oscar is still running things. I knew that “body guard” was bs and Sloane should’ve been on the phone immediately questioning Pete about it. I honestly think she’s going to get herself out of this one, I mean, you can’t kill Sloane.
