SPOILER ALERT! (stop reading if you don’t want to know what happens in this episode)
We’re one episode away from the season finale! The team works to find Thea, stop Machin and permanently stop Rubicon. Check out the recap below!
Oliver and Taiana are attacked by gunfire but when Taiana is shot she absorbs it then absorbs energy from the idol after Oliver kills them. They continue to stop Reiter’s men but when they need to save one of their fallen Taiana decides to kill him telling Oliver she needs as much power as possible to stop him.
Underground Ark
Oliver and Diggle’s weapons are no match for Darhk who’s seems to be not human. He brings the structure down escaping while Oliver and Diggle barely escape. Curtis stops by Felicity’s place while she and Noah are trying to figure out a permanent way to disable Rubicon. She briefs him and leaves him with Noah while she returns to the lair to report that H.I.V.E. has Thea. She pinpoints her location and Oliver and Diggle head to try to save her.
When they get there they realize that she’s underground and break in through the sewers alerting Malcolm of their arrival. They find Thea but when Oliver tries to help her leave she attacks him and tells them she has the intruder. He shows up and tells him that Thea is drugged thanks to the yellow pill and taunts him telling him he won’t kill him. Diggle shows up and it’s a mini gunfight that ends up outside. They hide in a house and try to convince the family they mean them no harm but Ruve makes a public announcement telling the civilians to kill them.
Curtis calls Felicity back to her place because Donna has shown up and she and Noah are arguing. When she gets there she has to tell her mother that she works for the Green Arrow. After initially being upset that she’s been lied to she lets Felicity get to work. Curtis recommends overloading Rubicon with too many requests so that it’ll shut down but Donna and Noah continue to argue. As their arguing Cooper hacks into her system telling them that he’s taken over and will soon have control of Rubicon.
He sends an electric current blowing out the electricity but they’re able to pinpoint his location sending a current back. Felicity and Noah have a bonding moment that Donna doesn’t like and she walks away. Felicity follows her and finds out that her father wasn’t the one who left, Donna left him.
The family tries to alert the Ghosts of Oliver and Diggle’s whereabouts but they stop them. They find out that none of the people there have taken the pills and they honestly believe Darhk is hope. The Ghosts find them and Diggle faces them while Oliver tries to talk sense into Thea. She finally comes to and stops Malcolm from stabbing Diggle. They’re interrupted by video feed of Machin holding Ruve and his daughter hostage. He tells him he has 21 minutes to show up before he kills his daughter and blows up the ark.
They decide to work together to try to stop Machin and Oliver puts Malcolm in charge of evacuating everyone. They reach Machin tells them that one wrong arrow and they could blow up the place. He goes to kill Ruve but Oliver shoots him with an arrow piercing one of the pipes. It causes an explosion and Machin stabs Ruve in the chest before going fighting them. As the place falls Oliver saves Darhk’s daughter and they all escape. Before he leaves he promises Ruve that he will save her daughter. They check in with Felicity and he tells her the city is safe but the people of the city still need hope.
Malcolm tells Darhk about Ruve and that the status of his daughter is unknown. He tells him that even if he regains control of Rubicon there isn’t anywhere safe to go. He tells him that if that’s the case it can all burn. Donna pulls Noah aside and tells him he needs to walk away if he cares about Felicity. He tells her that she’ll be crushed but she tells him that she’ll be fine. Donna tells felicity that Noah has left for a little while but as they’re talking Darhk shows up.
Some takeaways…
- I’m ready for the finale. I honestly don’t think we’ll get any major deaths. If anyone dies it might be Donna but I doubt it.
- I don’t know how they’re going to stop Darhk, he seems to be unstoppable. They’re going to have to be creative. Let’s also keep in mind that Darhk might not die. If you think about it none of our previous villains have died except for Ra’s al Ghul.
Will Oliver and co be able to stop Darhk? Let me know below and on Twitter!
