ELSEWORLDS INCLUDED EVERYTHING I LOVE ABOUT THESE CROSSOVER EVENTS AND THEN SOME
If you’re a huge Arrowverse fan like me then you were probably as ecstatic as I was about the annual CW crossover event. I thought last year’s crossover event was amazing but this year they managed to top themselves yet again. This year’s event was slimmed down as we focused on our Big Three: Oliver, Barry and Kara.
This slimmer crossover made for many great moments as we got to see our heroes really shine. This was probably the most fun we’ve seen Oliver have and, by extension Stephen Amell, as he got to channel his inner Barry. Barry got to experience more of his dark side so we’ll see what effects that has on The Flash. While Kara got to be our mediator this go around which helped in creating some of our funny moments.
ADD ANOTHER GIRL IN THE MIX
I think the surprise for me this crossover was meeting Kate Kane, Gotham’s Batwoman. I was a little hesitant about Ruby Rose portraying the character based on previous work I’ve seen her in, but she totally nailed it. We’ve definitely got a lot of testosterone hanging around the Arrowverse so any time we can shake things up with more kickass women I’m all for it. I could totally go for a Supergirl episode featuring Batwoman, just throwing that out there.
Overall, this was by far the best of the crossover episodes. We did end things on a little bit of a cliffhanger. It looks like we’re not done yet as next year’s crossover event will continue from this one. We’ll be drawing from the comics as 2019’s crossover event is titled Crisis on Infinite Earths.
