THE FINAL CHAPTER OF A 19 YEAR LONG TRILOGY
It’s the end of a 19 year trilogy and it all ramps up to a pretty final conclusion. Glass closes the book on a three movie synopsis on superheroes and villains and our relationship with comic book stories. I’m discussing my unfiltered thoughts on the entire trilogy on this episode!
While this was overall an enjoyable movie it wasn’t without its faults. Glass’ strong points were definitely its characters. Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, James McAvoy and Sarah Paulson delve into their characters giving strong performances throughout. The definite standout for me is James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb and his Horde of 23 personalities.
Overall, the plot was a little on the weak side. It was mainly driven by Elijah aka Mr. Glass obsession with comic books and the series trying to bring these powered individuals together. It all ramps up to an ending full of not so shocking twists and the death of our three main characters.
THE FINAL VERDICT?
I’d have to say that as a whole I appreciated that the story wrapped up but when I start look at the movies individually there definitely start to shift into first, second and third place slots. With that being said, my grade for Glass is a pretty fair C+.
