AFTER A TWO YEAR BREAK THINGS ARE EVEN MORE CRAZY ON THE OA
The OA dropped Part II (season 2) on Netflix and boy was it a crazy ride! To be honest, I wasn’t expecting anything less but I was once again left with so many questions. We jump right back in where we left off over two years ago but things are quite as we left them. I get pretty deep into my opinions and thoughts about this season on the episode so definitely listen to that.
WHAT DIMENSION ARE WE IN AGAIN?
Prairie finds herself in another dimension Nina Azarova a version of herself within what we eventually find out is a multiverse. We also introduced to a new character, Karim, who’s a private investigator searching for a young girl named Michelle. Now, I could go into all of the craziness that happens but I don’t think it would be as coherent in words.
Listen Now – Travelers (Season 3)
Pretty much Prairie meets Hap and the gang in Dimension 2 where she spends most of the season trying to find Homer and figure out who Nina is. This coincides and eventually runs into Karim who is trying to figure out what the deal is with this house, them missing kids and how Nina ties into it.
Meanwhile, the kids and BBA are still in Dimension 1 trying to figure out what happened to Prairie. The go on a cross state trip which results in an Amber Alert being sent for Buck, Jesse dying from an overdose and a random visit from our season one therapist Elias Rahim. A bunch of other weird stuff happens but I get into that in the episode
It all comes to a head in the final episode where we get a cross dimensional Five Movements performance, a glance behind the Rose Window and a trippy trip to Dimension 3. I still have so many questions. We did get a lot of answers that were pending from season one but they took it to another level for this one
IS PART III HERE YET?
We for sure need a Part III because there are just too many questions up in the air. I’m okay with Part III being the final season but I want them to give us an actual finish. I don’t want to leave a final season with more questions than I had when it started.
Overall, I enjoyed this season even more than the first. I feel like they had their bearings and were confident in what they wanted to do and where they wanted to go. Where season one felt a little disjointed and unsure it was completely the opposite this time around. Netflix, there is no reason why we shouldn’t get at least one more season.
